CDL DRIVER

REQUIREMENTS

Must have at least 2 years of driving experience.
Must be able to drive an 18 speed.

Hauls material to designated site as per supervisor instructions.
Maintains company vehicle truck and reports any malfunctions
immediately.
Carries out daily truck inspection in accordance with company policy.
Performs minor truck maintenance.
Maintains appropriate Department of Transportation documentation including but not limited to: status, license, and physical.
Reports any traffic violations, accidents, and fines immediately.
Monitors loaded amount to ensure load is not overweight.
Ensures customer satisfaction on job sites
Current Commercial driver’s license
OSHA 40
OSHA 10
Current Department of Transportation medical card

Scale House Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION

Administrative Assistant Scale House
Portland, CT

Job Description

The scale operator is responsible for all facets of the operations of a truck weighing process. The duties include, but are not limited to, weighing trucks, collecting and reviewing manifests, recording all information in a computerized weighing system, running reports, sampling inbound materials, and filing. The reporting and filing systems are primarily computerized.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all inbound and outbound scale transactions.

• Inspect paperwork and loads for inbound and outbound trucks. Enter all information into computer.

• Take samples of inbound material if required.

• Maintain order and housekeeping of scales and scale house.

• Complete daily reports, maintain logs, spreadsheets, and other reports, as assigned.

• Collate, Scan and Copy tickets for each job

• Weigh all trucks in & out of the facility on the Scale.

• Process all inbound/outbound paperwork daily (soil/drum/haz/non-haz/PCB), if there are issues with completion by COB following day make notification to supervisors/managers*

• Maintain accurate files in the point-of-sale system on customers, jobs, products, trucking, and haul rates.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, the individual should have knowledge of internet, Microsoft Office. PegEx, PC Scale, Sesame, and Sage 300 preferred but not required.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates/Licenses:

Valid Driver’s License
